Jeannot Castonguay, Member of Parliament for Madawaska-Restigouche, Andy Savoy, Member of Parliament for Tobique-Mactaquac and Senator Pierrette Ringuette, Senator for New-Brunswick have teamed up to support New Brunswick’s agricultural industry.

In cooperation with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Mr. Castonguay, Mr. Savoy and Senator Ringuette are hosting a series of agricultural seminars to be held in March; the 10th  in Edmundston, the 11th in Grand Falls and the 12th in Woodstock.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada will be presenting information and concrete applicable examples of the expertise and programming it offers on topics ranging from succession planning to international marketing.

“We recognize that skills and knowledge development are key to success in a highly competitive, global marketplace,” Mr. Castonguay said. “That’s why we have joined forces. We want to help provide farmers with opportunities to build their capacity for success.’’

“We believe these skills training and awareness raising sessions will be useful to farmers in the daily management of their operations, as well as the future planning of their farms,” Mr. Savoy said. “Ultimately, this makes our industry stronger and our economy stronger.”

“Through the years, we have listened to your concerns and found that this seminar is an exciting forum for information and dialogue promoting the agriculture industry for New-Brunswick’’ Senator Ringuette said.

The same free seminars will be held on three different dates and locations with simultaneous translation.
