New Brunswick MP Dominic Leblanc and Senator Pierrette Ringuette will attend the “Free Henk Tepper” Rally

Ottawa – New Brunswick Member of Parliament Dominic Leblanc and Senator Pierrette Ringuette will attend the “Free Henk Tepper” Rally on Sunday October 30th from 2 to 4 at the Grand Falls Sports Complex organized by the area concerned citizen group.

“As Foreign Affairs Critic and a New Brunswick MP, I believe that the Harper Government should request Henk Tepper’s immediate return to Canada”, stated Dominic Leblanc.

Henk Tepper has been detained in Lebanon to be extradited to Algeria since March.

An entrepreneur and potato farmer at heart, Mr. Tepper provided livelihood for 40 local families.  Because of his detention, his family farm is under bankruptcy protection; Mr. Tepper is not able to attend to his receivables and overall management.

Senator Ringuette said “I shall be present to support the organizers, the family and the community.  Since May 4th, 6 months ago, we have asked the Harper Government to, at the very least, release their documents pertaining to Henk Tepper.  We have yet to see these documents.  It is shameful.”

The local rally organizing committee should be commended.  Henk Tepper and his family should be supported by all.
