Team Rae gained momentum in New Brunswick today with Senator Pierrette Ringuette’s endorsement of Bob Rae’s candidacy for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada. After attending a Bob Rae event last week, the Senator knew she had found the candidate she wanted to support for the Leadership Race.
“I was inspired after hearing him speak. I had not heard someone deliver such an excellent political speech for several years. His perspectives stand out from the others and that’s why I knew I had to fully support his candidacy” declared Senator Ringuette. “He is committed to building a Canada, which is inclusive and provides opportunities for Canadians of all backgrounds”
“As a New Brunswicker, I have always looked up for leaders that can understand our reality and that can bring forward positive changes for our future. Bob Rae is that person.” said Senator Ringuette. “He has consistently spoken out in support of minority rights and for policies that favour the less fortunate in our society while promoting sound economics for the business communities. He also fully understands the needs for both urban and rural regions of our country.”
