Senator Ringuette raises questions in ongoing RBC/iGate temporary foreign workers debacle

During Question Period in the Senate yesterday, Senator Pierrette Ringuette raised questions about the current status of the temporary foreign workers at RBC.

Senator Ringuette asked the Government Leader in the Senate, Marjorie Lebreton, whether or not the approval granted to RBC/iGate through the temporary foreign workers program would be suspended while this scandal is being investigated in order to reopen those positions to allow the Canadian workers who were laid off to get back their previous jobs.

Ms. Lebreton did not provide an answer.
